Each team member received a keeper trophy, our school will be able to house the coveted Battle of the Books trophy for the year, and we will have a banner to display in our library! Well done Rayleigh! For the first time since 2019, Battle of the Books Zones were held in-person, with local schools competing for tops spots to advance to the District Competition. All 3 of our Battle of the Books teams earned Zone placements - a rare feat - WOW!! Mrs. Sauer was VERY proud of all the teams and the hard work they put into studying the 12 books!
Students at Rayleigh enjoyed Literacy Week/Unplug and Play events! Students had opportunities in class to participate in fun literacy activities, and also City of Kamloops Unplug and Play free events. Rayleigh students like to Drop Everything and Read! Battle of the Books is underway at Rayleigh! This is a District motivational reading program for our grades 3-6, which involves reading 12 predetermined books with select teams competing against teams from other schools for Zone and District titles!
